Our services and products help people in our community improve soil health, increase the nutrient quality of our food, and set-up regenerative farming and living systems. We offer farm design and planning services (which we call ‘farmscaping’), nutrient management and maintenance packages, and educational videos and workshops. Through our nursery we sell grafted fruit trees, native windbreaks and ground covers, select landscape plants, cover seed, soil amendments and organic fertilizers.

  • Agroforestry

We make agroforestry design easy by selling individual and packages of plants selected to function together as an agroforestry system and intended for succession growth. This system of planting provides growers with a short-term cash crop while they wait for longer-term tree crops to mature. We offer perennial ground covers, shrubs and trees that are ideal for our North Shore growing conditions, attract pollinators and ‘beneficials’ , serve as a living mulch and nitrogen fertilizer source, encourage a rich soil ecology and restore on-farm ecosystem services.

  • Starting or Restructuring Your Farm

Taking the time to set-up systems for your farm will save you time, money and heartache. A well-organized farm enables you to grow healthy plants in a way that is enjoyable. Farming involves a lot of tasks from prepping new growing areas and restoring soil health and nutrient cycling, to planning out crop rotations and intercroppings, projecting sales, setting-up irrigation and managing water use, managing and monitoring nutrients, pests and disease.

  • Systems to Build Soil Health

Soils that have low organic matter, poor air and water space, low biological activity or diversity and that are compacted will create the conditions for plant nutrient deficiencies and high pest and disease pressure. If you are just getting started or have been working on degraded or intensely used land, it is critical that you improve the health and function of your soil if you want to grow healthy crops. We take an active approach to improving your soil and crop health by helping you grow your own fertilizers, plant cover crops and set-up vermicast and other soil-building systems on your land.

  • Crop Nutrient Monitoring & Maintenance

Our approach to building soil health and managing pest and disease begins by boosting the nutrient levels of your crops. Plants that are healthier produce more root exudates to feed soil biology and fuel nutrient cycling, have a more robust root system and rhizosphere, and produce secondary metabolites, triggering natural plant immune and defense systems. If you’re starting a farm, a good first step is a soil test.

  • Privacy Hedges, Windbreaks & Outdoor Living Spaces

Our nursery offers varieties of clumping bamboo and other varieties of quick growing plants ideal for planting privacy hedges and defining outdoor living space.

Our plant packages, hardscape and natural building products bring old world charm from around the world to your outdoor living spaces. We partner with natural builders and suppliers to offer whole sale or custom-made stone sinks, open-fire cooking features, outdoor shower towers and tubs, stone pavers, pergolas, arbors, ornate garden gates and other unique products. Check out our kitchen garden and outdoor bath plant packages and design workshops to start creating a space for health and wellness on your farm and taking steps to bring your life closer to nature.

  • Momona ~ The Farm Art Project

Working with the land creates beauty and provokes inspiration. We love sharing the creativity that people feel from being out on the land and working with their hands in our farm art studio and with elements from the land itself. Our Farm Art Project is an effort to bring local artist out to the farm to create ‘landscape art pieces’ and natural building projects. We demonstrate these projects through our farm design workshops. Check out our Farm Art Project and workshops to begin designing your own edible landscapes, living archways, arbors and outdoor living features.

  • Mokuleia Regenerative Demo Farm

Our demonstration farm displays agroforestry concepts, serves as a propagation and budwood bank, provides living examples of our hardscape products and soil-building systems, demonstrates the use of our functional plants for creating windbreaks and making fertilizers and is used to share the process for moving fallow land into a thriving, productive system. Our demo farm is open during our workshops and special events or by appointment.

  • Agroforestry Design & Forecasting Software

Our design software allows us to communicate conceptual designs to our clients and to project the potential carbon sequestration, input cost, yields and return on investment for particular agroforestry designs.
