Add-on Soil Testing
Additional soil testing can be conducted for heavy metal panels, pesticide panels and other contaminants. In addition to soil testing, iIrrigation water can also be tested for bicarbonates, nutrient contributions and contaminants. The pricing for these tests vary and are based on which lab panels you want to run. These tests can be discussed at the site visit and while the standard soil sample is collected.

Additional soil and leaf tissue lab tests are available. As the needs of each site are unique, please email us for an estimate of recommended lab services and associated pricing.
Plant Tissue: This test is helpful for monitoring nutrient deficiencies and the nutrient uptake capacity of an existing crop. The plant tissue package includes: nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, boron, iron, sodium, manganese, copper, and zinc (starting at $75 per sample).
Carbon to Nitrogen (C:N) Ratio: This lab test is ideal for orchard systems, where carbon can often be high and immobilizing nitrogen. This lab test is also used to identify the nutrient cycling capacity of your system (starting at $35).
Soil paste: The soil paste test is especially important if your pH is already out of ideal range, as bicarbonates and other nutrients in your irrigation lines can contribute towards nutrient excess and imbalances in pH. Soil paste tests are a good indicator of the soluble nutrients that are available in the soil solution and readily plant-available. The saturated paste package includes pH, soluble salts, chloride, bicarbonate, water soluble phosphorous, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, boron, iron, copper, zinc, aluminum, sulfur, and manganese. (starting at $75).
Irrigation Water Suitability: The irrigation water suitability package includes: irrigation water monitoring package, plus nitrate, adjusted SAR, pHc, Phosphorus (starting at $75).
Soil and Water Toxicity: Please inquire about a la carte pricing if you’d like to include tests for specific heavy metals, pesticides and other contaminants.
*Lands historically in pineapple production should be tested for the presence of Hepatchlor and Dibromochloropropane (DBCP).
